Our Regional Events
Regional Unity Dinners create opportunities for Black medical students to connect and build community beyond their individual medical schools. Québec currently leads this initiative, bringing students from across the province together through regional gatherings. In Ontario, the Black Physicians’ Association of Ontario (BPAO) also hosts an annual BBQ before the start of the academic year, providing an opportunity for Black medical students to connect before returning to school. As BMSAC continues to grow, other regions are exploring ways to create similar gatherings and strengthen connections among Black medical students in their communities.
