Calling all medical students, residents & physicians! Join BMSAC's Virtual Mock MMI as an interviewer on November 14, 2026.

Sign up for one or more time slots! This is a full day virtual event (10:00am - 5:15pm EST). You may choose to volunteer for the entire day, two group times or for select group times. Within each time slot, interviewers will be assigned one of four questions for each of the interviewees to rotate through. Interviewers will be responsible for providing verbal feedback during the session and filling out a rubric to be shared with participants after the session. Station questions and rubrics will be provided to volunteers ahead of the event. 

Group 1: 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Group 2: 11:45 am - 1:15 pm
Group 3: 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Group 4: 3:45 pm - 5:15 pm

BMSAC Moves is our Strava Group aimed at encouraging healthy habits and physical activity during medical training. Students can share their activities with, and receive motivation and positive feedback from their peers across all medical schools. Strava users can request to join the group, but their identity as a Black medical student at a Canadian medical school is verified through Student Affairs. We occasionally have challenges for members to participate in. Sign up here.

This academic year, we will be launching a Facebook forum for members as an accessible means to communicating with Black medical students across Canada. The aim is to strengthen connections between Black medical students by creating a lower effort means of communication, information dissemination and networking. The Community of Support (COS) supports students who face systemic barriers on their journey into medicine and other healthcare professions through initiatives such as MCAT preparation, application guidance, mentorship, networking and access to opportunities. Under the leadership of Dr. Ike Okafor and the COS team, the program has created an important network of support for aspiring healthcare professionals.

BMSAC is currently working alongside COS and BMSA chapters across Canada to help develop and expand local COS chapters. Together, we aim to ensure students in different regions have access to resources, mentorship and guidance that reflect the specific needs of their schools and communities, while strengthening the broader COS network nationwide.
